Kanatadika

Five kilometers north of Istiaia area, there is the settlement Kanatadika, along a beautiful beach of 5 km. It doesn’t have many permanent residents; since it is mainly composed of small blocks of rooms and cottages. At that area there is the so called Livari where anglers and hunters used to go. The current Livari is considered to be an important habitat for the region and hosts many species of birds and fish. Indeed, some years ago flocks of swans had approached the area and stayed there for at least one year. Nowdays, Kanatadika is a small destination for tourists who can find restaurants and taverns to enjoy the sea’s delights.
